Wide turf racetracks and modern clubhouse are kept in excellent condition and meet the international standards. Beer joint and bars provide visitors not only with different brands of spirits but with appetizing snacks as well.

The tradition of the horse racing in Poland goes back to the Middle Ages. In Warsaw the horse race was held for the first time in 1777 and at once created a sensation while a mare belonging to the Poland nobleman beat a horse belonging to the English envoy. Thus Poland declared itself as a country able to compete with the states that had a long horse racing tradition. In newly built Sluzewiec the first horse races were organized just a few months before the outbreak of World War II. Due to its favorable location - it is far enough from the city center that was wiped out from the face of the Earth - Sluzewiec Racetrack wasn't ruined during the war.

The horse racings at Sluzewiec are held from April till the end of November. Every weekend during this period as well as on Wednesday from July till October you are welcomed to admire the races. The distances are 1,600 m, 2,400 m and 2,800 m. In the middle of October the greatest horse-racing event in Poland - the international Wielka Warszawska is held.
